Geelong gives its sponsors better coverage | A digital signage network rollout out to the Cats Stadium, March 2010

5 March 2010

Early in 2010 Geelong management sought an opportunity to convert their regular TV screens positioned in various locations at Skilled Stadium into a more intelligent and functionally rich digital signage network.  Their objectives being to gain a new revenue stream from sponsors, provide sponsors with better in-stadium exposure during the games (especially in the corporate boxes) and to further engage the audience.

Having obtained good word-of-mouth industry feedback regarding Digital Signage Group, Geelong Cats contacted DSG directly and the efficient implementation of their new network of 50 screens around the concourse, in seated locations and in corporate boxes took one month from planning to completion.

Two of the clear benefits to the Cats, in addition to a full turn-key, end-to-end digital signage solution, were the cost effective pricing of the network installation and the capability for DSG to create advertising content for the Cats to run on the screens.  No other digital signage company has this in-house service offering.

There were no teething problems experienced in the rollout, and from the start the Cats management has been impressed and highly satisfied with DSG’s handling of the rollout.  “We have found all our dealings with Digital Signage Group to be highly professional and considerate… and… we received exceptional service.”  Braith Cox – Business Development Manager, Geelong Cats.

The network now provides Geelong management with the ability to screen live football coverage, promote the Cats and their merchandising products and provide sponsors with additional advertising exposure at the Stadium.
